[Mireia]
- Good night! It’s eight o’clock as everyday. We are going to talk about celebrities. I’m going to anticipate that after the publicity,we have a famous actress, Julia Roberts. don’t change the channel!
- Here we are (again)! As I said before Julia Roberts is coming. It seems that Julia is here. Please give her a lovely welcome. Good Night Julia!
[Lídia]
- Good night!
[Mireia]
- Thanks for stay here! Today, it’s your torn in the sofa!
[Lídia]
- (jaja) It’s a pleasure.
[Mireia]
- How old are you?
[Lídia]
- Well, I’m forty years old but I look like younger (jaja). I know it. And you too!
[Mireia]
- Of course, thanks. If I’m not wrong, you are married with Daniel Moder. How did you meet him?
[Lídia]
- Oh! He was one of the camara in one of my films. It was strange, just looking at him I got nervous like a teenager.
[Mireia]
- And you have had three sons…
[Lídia]
- Yes, It’s fantastic to share my life with them and with Dani. They are the best in my life. I enjoy playing with them, we also like going to beach with the family.
[Mireia]
- Lisa and his brother are twins, is it difficult their relationship?
[Lídia]
- Mmmm… It depends of the day. Well, all three are angels, they are so tender !
[Mireia]
- Talking about brothers. What about your relation with your brothers?
[Lídia]
- Oh… I would prefer another question. I don’t like talking about them. I can’t understand their bad mood. We’re angry.
[Mireia]
- Oh sorry… and the next question it’s shocking, is it tru that you leave your engaged at the last moment? Is it something related to the film “novia a la fuga”?
[Lídia]
- Yes, it was a guess of live. When I did the film I never had thougt that it could happen to me. In my last engaged my husband was very nervious! (jajaj)
[Mireia]
- It’s a pity that the three times that you have been nominated for an oscar, you only has won one, with the film Erin Brockowitch. I think that you should win more.
[Lídia]
- Thank you, but I think that I had to compete with other great actresses. It’s very difficult win an oscar because the level is a very high.
[Mireia]
- I’m fan of you. I have enjoyed your interview a lot. Can I kiss you?
[Lídia]
- Yes, of course
[Mireia]
- Julia thank your very much for coming.
[Lídia]
- Oh, it's a pleasure! See you soon! This is a great program!

Catalonia's version of Robin Hood
Read the article; then find information and answer the following questions:
Serrallonga was a catalan bandit that stole rich people. His realy name is Joan Sala. The legend said that Serrallonga (the catalan bandoleer) gave the money to poor people, from the village. Finaly he died.

b. Who was Robin Hood?
Robin Hood is like Serrallonga from England. He was a bandoleer, and he stole rich people to gave the money to the poor people.
c.What things did they have in common?
The legends say that... Serrallonga and Robin Hood stole rich people to give the money to the poor people. The both stories talks about bandoleers. They had to him in forests and mountains to survive. Because the law wants to kill them. (Serrallonga hadn't a happy ending, but Robin Hood, yes.). Both had got girlfriends (one or more than one).
Party time for Sant Narcís
1.Read the newspaper article. What is it about?
The article is about the annual festival of Sant Narcís. First it talks about the history of the saint ( a legend: Sant Narcís saved Girona from the French troops... ), then talks about the party, the programme with the activities and the tradicional celebrations from Catalunya: for example the castellers o the correfocs. It say the days and the places of the activities too.
2.Which events / activities did you take part in ? ( October 2008 )
Well, this year in the Sant Narcís festival I took part in the popular activity of les barraques. There, there are lots of concerts, and if you are tired to stay there you can go to the "fires", but it's better stay in the concert. This year, after the concerts my friends and I went to a floor in Girona, we slept there, and we come back to Banyoles in the morning. It was great and fantastic. And it was a good think don't come back at night.

DESCRIPTION: My cousin
Today I'm going to talk about my cousin Mònica, because she's my only cousin and I like meeting her a lot in our grandmother's house.
She's the daughter of my mother's sister, and she's 30 years old. I'm quiet younger than her because my aunt is 13 years older than my mother. She lives in Girona with Jordi (her boyfriend) and with Èric (her son).
Physically she isn't tall in contrast with the family stature (for example my brother is very tall). She's underweight although now she's pregnant! In April her second son will be born, and next week her first son is going to be one year old. And I'm his godmother!
She has got a very beautiful face, in general people say she's very pretty because she looks like Kate Winslet (the actress of Titanic). She has got big and blue eyes. And her skin is pale althow if she waned she can be stunning easly. She has got long curly dark hair.
She usually wears fashionable but not expensive clothes. Once a year we go shopping with her other cousin in Girona. This day is great!

She's the kind of person who can always help you. She's very generous, outgoing and patient. But we never get her to arrive at the family lunch on time, she's a bit heartless!
She has got sense of humour but she can get angry easily if you are disappointed with her.
In conclusion, I think I admire her a lot because she's a very good example for me. As she studied in Barcelona, and I want to do it too.
This is Èric

Hi Mònica,
How are things? I haven’t heard from your for a long time. I’m worried.
I write this e-mail to you because I want to explain you my summer job. During July and August I worked in Pals, a very nice village in Baix Empordà. I worked as a shop assistant in a pottery and custome jewellery shop.
I started at 3 o’clock p.m. and I finished between 9:00 and 11:00 p.m. depend on the number of customers.
The owner is called Maria, and she’s a very nice person: some days she invites me to have breakfast, because she said that she was very happy with my work.
Most tourists were French or English people. At the beginning, with French people I couldn’t speak anything. But when I talked to English people I could practice and improve my English.
At the end of the month I earned more than I thought.
It was a great day! Now I still remember the times that I was counting my money. Part of my salary was used to buy a new bicycle. I want to show it to you!
That’s all for now. Give my regards to Èric. And write an e-mail to me soon!
Love,
Lídia
